Hidden Gem: Marball Odyssey rolls its way onto the Android Market

There is a neat little casual maze/puzzle game that landed on the Android Market a few days ago called Marball Odyssey by LABBE Sylvain a.k.a Sunday Coderz. The premise of the game is simple. just roll your ball through the maze on each stage, collecting items as you go until you reach the exit.

While the goal is simple enough, actually finding your way through the mazes filled with switches, mechanical devices and traps is a whole other story. Along the way you will be collecting items that will help increase your score but don't take too long as you will also be racing against the clock. Just to add an extra level of difficulty, you can also fall off the edge of each stage. Here is a quick list of some of the features in Marball Odyssey and some tips to remember when playing:

- Collecting all rings will create additional extra coins.
- Collecting all extra coins will give an extra life on exit.
- Collecting all big coins will activate a special blue portal and one extra life on start.
- Activating a purple checkpoint is giving more time.
- Fences can be broken using the big ball or the small ball with high velocity.
- Bridges can be broken using the big ball.
- Yellow buttons can be used only with the big ball.
- You can climb onto walls using doors and bumpers.
- Finishing a level is unlocking the next one.

The 3D graphics are pretty polished as well so you have some decent eye candy to enjoy while trying not to fall off the edge in each stage. This is definitely a nice little time killer for when you've got a few minutes here and there to waste.

You can download Marball Odyssey off the Android Market for around $1.30. To check out the game in action, just watch the trailer below. It is definitely a fun game that for whatever reason hasn't really gotten any downloads since its release.
