OrangePixel working on a new retro game called Neoteria

Developers OrangePixel, who have made some of the best retro style games on Android, are currently developing a new game called Neoteria. This is a side-scrolling shooter where you control a spaceship, blasting enemies as you go along through each stage.

Currently Neoteria is still being developed but so far it looks like a pretty solid retro shooter game for those of you who like shooters of this kind. This is a bit of a stray for the usual OrangPixel type of games we see, usually involving a platform style of gaming.

Unfortunately we don't have much more information about the game at this point in time since it is actually still in development but some ideas being toyed around are the ability to take a couple of hits in normal mode while hard mode will have you die in one shot. That's pretty bad ass if you are into the more hardcore type of gaming challenges. Also this game will apparently be cruising at a nice 60fps according to the developer diary for Neoteria. It will also have plenty of power-ups to collect as well to help you out.

No word yet on when this will land on the Android Market but for now we can enjoy a few preview screenshots and a preview video to tide us over.
