Zen Studios, developers of the rather awesome Pinball platform for Android called Zen Pinball THD, have released a new table for purchase called Epic Quest. This new table actually brings some RPG mechanics into the mix instead of your standard pinball table format.

While you get all the ramps, bonuses, pitfalls and mini-games you can handle, along with a plethora of animations like usual, your character Max can actually level up through gaining XP and snag himself as much loot as possible. As you complete various missions and table objectives, Max will earn loot which he will need in order to defeat monsters in his journey.

What is really cool though is that, when your game ends, your loot and XP carry over to your next game on Epic Quest. You can put together sets of gear as well. This is bar far the best table for Zen Pinball that they have released, not just for all the animations and everything, but because of the extra RPG gameplay mechanics.

If you are ready to dive into the Epic Quest table, update your Zen Pinball game and go grab it through the in-game purchasing system. You can check out the table in action in the video below.

Pinball and RPG Collide in Epic Quest!

XP, Loot, Monsters and an Acquisitive Knight Create a New Pinball Experience from Zen Studios

Los Angeles, CA – February 2, 2012 – Zen Studios, the definitive leader in videogame pinball, today announced Epic Quest, a brand new, original pinball experience for Pinball FX2 on Xbox LIVE® Arcade and Zen Pinball on PlayStation®Network, Android Marketplace™ and the Apple App®Store. The table will be available for download in February 2012.

It is the sworn duty of every knight to seek out evil, defeat it, and take its stuff. One such knight is Max, whose enthusiasm for combat is surpassed only by his love of rare and valuable loot. Join Max as he battles hordes of evil (or just evil-looking) monsters, rescues a wealthy princess, and accumulates the loot and XP that make good worth doing.   If Max suffers a defeat, never fear! He will return in the next game with all of his hard-won loot and experience levels intact.

“It is our quest to deliver the most entertaining and original pinball tables, and Epic Quest delivers on both fronts,” said Mel Kirk, Zen Studios Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations. “With a wink and a nudge towards classic RPG tropes, Epic Quest blends frantic pinball action, obsessive character building, and liberally applied tongue-in-cheek humor."

As players complete missions and table objectives, Max earns loot, which is essential for defeating monsters and impressing n00bs.  Put together a set of "epic" gear and become the envy of all your frenemies! Supposedly, it helps you fight better, too.  And if a game ends, experience and loot carry over to the next game.

Epic Quest will seamlessly integrate into Zen Pinball on PlayStation®Network, the Apple App®Store and Android Marketplace™, and the Pinball FX2 platform on Xbox LIVE® Arcade. Epic Quest will feature new Achievements and Trophies.
