Rovio threatens everyone with more Angry Birds in new promo

It seems Rovio has something in the works for their Angry Birds franchise and have released a new promo image to tease everyone. The promo image really doesn't reveal a whole lot, or maybe it does, depending on how you look at it.

The promo image is much more darker looking than previous promo images sent out by Rovio and it simply says "They're Coming" in the message underneath the image's posting on Facebook which doesn't help a whole bunch. However, one does have to take note that the Angry Bird in the picture is 3D, something that Rovio hasn't done with promo pictures before. They have always been 2D art which reflects the actual game's art style.

This leads us to believe it could be a couple of possibilities. First, it could be the fabled Angry Birds movie that has been talked about since the middle of last year. Secondly, it could be that 3D version, heavily enhanced Tegra 3 edition of Angry Birds that nVidia and Rovio seems to be in talks about.

Whatever the case may be one thing we don't think it could be is simply another episode for one of the current Angry Birds games. The art style doesn't suggest it and Rovio is pretty good at being cryptic but putting hints right in your face. So any guesses as to what this could be? Let us know in the comments below.
