There is a great looking suspense game coming from Semaphore called Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta. This game is a blend of platform gameplay, melee fighting, shooter and stealth gameplay wrapped up in some nice 3D visuals.
Unearthed is based around the story of a treasure hunter by the name of Faris Jawad who gets a call to visit Morocco. When he arrives Faris embarks on an adventure with his sister, Dania, as they follow the trail of a famous Muslim explorer by the name of Ibn Buttuta. Along the way though they have to deal with plenty of enemies who have teamed up to stop them. The enemy team is made up of a military leader, a weapons dealer and a antiquities smuggler who are after the same goal as Faris and his sister are. What exactly that goal is, we don't know yet.
What we do know are these listed features so far:
- This will be a blend of platformer, shooter, melee combat and stealth gameplay - You will be all kinds of Middle Eastern locations such as Moroccan Atlas mountains, the port of Alexandria, Dubai and more. - Unearthed will be similar to other adventure games on console platforms, being presented in a TV episodic format where there be recaps of previous episodes you completed as well as teasers and cliff hangers of what is to come.
Unfortunately we don't have any sort of exact release date and it looks like the game is still in development. We do know that it is coming to a wide range of platforms including PC, XBLA, iOS and Android. You can check out the game to see what it looks like in the trailer below.
