Rovio seems to be wanting to re-enforce the point that even though they have a non-Angry Birds game called Amazing Alex heading out way, Angry Birds isn't going away. At least that is what we are thinking is a large reason behind releasing a new Angry Birds game themed around their F1 sponsorship of Heikki Kovalainen and F1 racing.
The real question is, will this be another physics-based puzzle game like all previous Angry Birds titles have been or will this be the rumored Mari Kart style game? Right now the new teaser website for Angry Birds Heikki has no details about the game unfortunately. Another interesting question to consider is how in the hell would Rovio be able to mash up an F1 theme into a physics-based puzzle game such as Angry Birds?
One other point to consider is that this game is rumored to be a web-based browser game release and that it won't be coming to smartphones as a game, at least according to MSN. It seems like a strange move considering the sheer number of downloads each Angry Birds game gets on both Android and iOS. Take this rumor with a grain of salt of course.
Either way, as details are released, we will be sure to post an update.
