Is Activision gearing up to release Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies onto Android?

Posted by AndrewH in Game News on July 18, 2012

Call of Duty and it's plethora of versions, whether it is the vanilla CoD or Black Ops, has been one of the main brands in FPS gaming for awhile now. Well the fine folks over at Xperia Gamers have stumbled onto what appears to be confirmation that Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies will be landing on Android and, in fact, it could be in a matter of days.

According to the article at Xperia Gamer, Activision posted a field manual over on the official Call of Duty Black Ops website which is for the Android version of Call Of Duty: Black Ops Zombies. The game has already been out on iOS for awhile now so many gamers who have converted over to Android may have already played this. The field manual, a.k.a instructions and tips, is actually quite extensive so posting it here would make this a rather long article.

While it would be nice to know that the visuals for this game have gotten a little love before being released on Android, we are not holding our breath too much on that. What we do know is that aside from single-player missions, there will also be multiplayer gameplay both locally over bluetooth and online meaning you'll be able to off some zombies with friends. There will be at least 50 levels when the game launches as well as a number of hidden ones.

One other interesting item to note from the field manual is that it states the game is already out on Android. Whether this is just a type error or the field manual has been posted a little too early remains to be seen. What it does tell us though is that Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies will be coming to Android and it could be on Google Play an hour from now or a week from now. Either way it can't be too far off. If it follows the same pricing as the iOS version, it will set you back $6.99 to snag a copy of the game.
