One game we have talked about a few times in the past is Megatroid, Triolith Games newest title for Android. This particular game is an action platformer that comes with procedurally generated levels which means each time you play the game, it will always be different.
Megatroid is like a blending of Mega Man and Metroid, enhanced with 3D visuals that have a bit of a Tron flare to them. You can doa few things in this game that you can do in those older classics such as wall jumping/hanging while shooting at enemies. Since every level is procedurally generated, each level and game run through will be different. You can share these unique levels with friends as well, regardless of what platformer they are playing on.

Megatroid Features:
+ Procedurally generated stages with near-infinite variation!
+ Share your generated stage with friends, across any platform!
+ Hundreds of weapons and armor to choose from in the Black Market!
+ Super-badass weapons, armor and upgrades in the Premium Market!
+ Intriguing sci-fi setting with episodic structure!
+ Classic 8-bit inspired soundtrack!
This game comes with two markets for you to buy upgrades with, the Black Market, which has hundred of weapons and armor upgrades that you can use in-game currency earned on, or the Premium Market, which has 'super bad-ass' weapons, armor and other upgrades available as well which uses in-game purchases. However, the Premium Market is completely optional and does not affect the game content overall.
If you are looking for another solid platformer to sink your teeth into, you might want to check out Triolith's newest offering. Megatroid is, of course, available for download for free off of the Google Play store.
