Android Gaming Challenge Prizes!

We've been teasing everyone about the prizes for AGC1 and we let out that one was to be a free new Android phone. However that certainly isn't the end of the list! You think we would only giveaway just that? Shame on you! Don't you know we are partially insane over here at Droid Gamers? In any events, it is time to reveal the prize list and it is a big one!

The community has really come together so far for this first even Android Gaming Challenge and possibly the first ever mobile gaming tournament. Told you it was a lot! Of course though we must thank our sponsors for such great prizes! Scoreloop, Wirefly, Hyperbees, Battery Powered Games, Herocraft, AndroidSwag, Camel Games, OrangePixel, Extreme Themes, Game Gripper and many game developers who we can't name just yet due to their games being played in the tournament. We are trying to keep things under wraps regarding the games participating in the tournament just a little longer. Have no fear though, you'll have plenty of time to get them!

Now for the legal stuff:

• AGC #1 is open to US residents only! Do not worry my international friends, we are hosting a second AGC after this one for all the international Android gamers out there!
• If you cheat, you are out of the tournament, simple as that and forfeit any prizes you may have otherwise won. These will be given to the next runner-up.
• Please make sure you have Android 1.6 or higher on your phone. This is nothing more than to ensure compatibility of games for all players.
• Once in the ladder you will have 24 hours to beat your opponents score, level, achievement (depending on the game that day)
• Each round will start at approx 10am PST and last till 10am PST the following day. We may introduce a day break here and there to let everyone rest.
• The first qualifier game involved in the tournament (the first 5 days for everyone) will be officially announced the day the tournament starts. Each game involved in the Ladder will be announced a few hours before each round starts to give everyone plenty of time to get the game and get a little practice in before the round starts.
• The grand prize winner will receive a package of prizes which will include one (1) brand new Android phone from Wirefly.com or a Dell Streak from Scoreloop (via Dell.com). 2nd place will receive the remaining item that isn't chosen by the Champion (example: Champion chooses the Dell Streak then 2nd place gets a free Android phone or vise versa). This is subject to availability at the time of winning.
• Prizes will also be handed out to the Top 5 players which will be prize packages. Official prize listing will be announced at tournament start.
• AGC #1 will start qualifiers at approx 10am PST July 30th, 2010
• Official sponsor list will be posted once it has finished being compiled. If you would like to join as a sponsor please see end of article.
• Results will be posted and updated daily until tournament ends.
• All rules are subject to change at any time. Notice will be posted if any rules are modified. A full listing of all the rules (including sponsor rules and qualifications) and details will be made available before tournament starting time.
• Prize list is subject to change at any time
• Delays in delivery time for prizes may occur based on a number of factors including shipping distance, availability at time of winning, weather, acts of God and any other possible factors that may influence arrival time. Please be patient if something is running late, you will get your prizes. We are not responsible for anything damaged during transit to you however we will try to work with you to have any situation that may occur solved.
• Sign up will remain open till Thursday, July 29, 2010 11:59pm PST. After that time no more sign-ups for AGC1 will be accepted even if you post it in the comments! Everything is time stamped so I will know.
• Make sure your email address is valid and your actual email address. Contact about prizes will be using that email you signed up with so if it is wrong, you may not receive your prizes.
• Games will be announced the day before they are to be played in the tournament to give everyone enough time to get the game.

Remember sign-ups end Thursday July 29th, 2010 11:59PST so if you are planning to sign up for AGC1 you should probably do it now. Please remember sign ups are only accepted in comments of our original announcement of AGC1 or by using the Tip Us form should you want to submit your username via email to keep it private.
