Tactics-style turn-based strategy game King's Bounty: Legions has arrived, complete with PvP

Posted by Alexander Burr in Game News on January 16, 2013

Are you a fan of the old Kings Bounty series or maybe the Heroes of Might and Magic style games? King's Bounty: Legions could be just up your alley then. King's Bounty games have been around for more then 20 years and I still remember playing it on my old Commodore 64. For those of you not familiar with the series, King's Bounty is a 3D turn-based strategy game where you get to hire and upgrade armies of different creatures, explore the land searching for treasures and grow your character.

The game gives you many options from trying each of the units in combat, discovering new harbors, running search missions or patrols, and so on. King's Bounty looks great as well thanks to being developed using the Unity3D engine. The visuals are excellent 3D graphics not much different from those featured in the latest games of the King's Bounty series so you will see colorfully rendered creatures and locations in this game.

King's Bounty: Legions Features:

- Unique 3D graphics
- A great many of locations and challenging quests
- Play with millions of players worldwide
- Single account for Facebook and Android – play your favorite game either on ipad or Facebook
- Forge an invincible army and make your PvP and PvE enemies surrender at discretion
- Participate in tournaments, unite in guilds and discuss the strategy in real-time chat

One of the new additions to the game is the inclusion cross-platform gaming by linking your Facebook account. King's Bounty: Legions is specifically unique because of its PvP combat. Having a single PvP server and a well-developed matchmaking system provides for selecting a suitable adversary from anywhere in the world. The matchmaking system allows you to fight against an enemy army for simple training sparring – or a battle awarded with increasing the player's rating, gold, and possibly new units to capture.

If you are looking for a turn-based strategy game with tactics-based combat and PvE/PvP combat then Kings Bounty: Legions might be a good choice. Also the developer is planning on support the game with future content like castles, an RPG system, global wars, and even team vs team combat.

King's Bounty: Legions has the same familiarity as the original and has planned continuous support from the developers which will hopefully ensure that the game won't get stale. You can pick up a copy off of Google Play for free and just so you know ahead of time it does come with IAPs.
