A couple of days ago we talked about Polarbit's latest racing game Cracking Sands and that it would be arriving on Google Play in a few days. We that day has come and their new combat kart racing game is now available for players to download and begin kicking up dust and taking down opponents.
A little back history with Cracking Sands first before we get into it. Cracking Sands has actually been in development for quite some time, almost a year to be a little more precise. It was actually created by the team behind Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart-series and Konami Krazy Racing. Just a little extra info for those of you who like the extra details.

As for Cracking Sands itself, this is a kart racing style of game that focuses a bit more heavily on the combat aspect of things over your average kart racing game. Lands mines, Machine Guns, Rocket Launchers and so on are all available for you to use to take out opponents you are racing against. Skills-wise, Cracking Sands will have to developing your "I can race but shoot plenty of people at the same time" skill.
In terms of customization, you can mix and match pieces to create your own custom character and kart. This includes all the fun stuff like weapons. After that it is time to take to the dirt and race. As you progress through the game you will be able to unlock more parts and weapons that you can use.

Now here comes the good stuff. We were not 100% sure if Cracking Sands would have multiplayer or not. We figured it would considering the type of racing game it is and we are happy to say that it does comes with online multiplayer as well as multiple single player game modes.
For those of you ready to get a little dirty and shoot up all your opponents in the process, you can pick up Cracking Sands off of the Google Play store for $4.99. You can check out the game in action in the video below.
