Vote on DroidGamers Game of the Week Poll for 18/1 – 24/1

Posted by Himmat in Game News on January 25, 2013

Welcome to the latest edition of our game of the week poll. Here, we highlight the best and highest profile games released this past week, and you can make your selection from there. You'll also find out the previous week's winner as voted by you, our readers. So as the sun sets on another week of releases, cast your vote and pick the best one.

 Ikaruga by G-Gee

The Xbox Live Arcade (and more importantly Sega’s Dreamcast) action-shooter Ikaruga is now available on Android for play on the go! Ikaruga is the first of its kind for smartphones with its beautiful interface and its smooth UI system. Using your built in shield, absorb all enemy fire and unleash your power using a unique color polarity changing mechanic.

Super Hexagon by Terry Cavanagh

Super Hexagon is an insanely challenging game that’d tempt you to throw your phone or tablet out of the window, and curse profanities at the same time. You play as a triangle with the goal of surviving mazes of geometrical shapes. Hit the oncoming walls and you meet an instant death. If you need to have an idea as to how hard the game is, it starts off on “hard” difficulty. Yeah, no kidding!

Super Knights by Chillingo

In a crazy medieval world, control one of the famous Super Knights and fill your pockets with the gems scattered throughout each level. Use your grappling hook to swing around the anchor points in the scenery. Addictive, colorful, and downright fun, Super Knights is the perfect slice of pick up and play gaming.

Temple Run 2 by Imangi Studios

With over 170 million downloads, Temple Run redefined mobile gaming. Now get more of the exhilarating running, jumping, turning and sliding you love in Temple Run 2! Navigate perilous cliffs, zip lines, mines and forests as you try to escape with the cursed idol. How far can you run?!

Undead Slayer by NHN

In Undead Slayer, you play as a slayer from an ancient Chinese dynasty, stuck in a world infested with zombies and other monsters that you'll need to kill in order to survive. Played out in a top-down manner, the visuals are solidly rendered, and it is all the impressive that this is made by a one man team. You have 90 stages to play and 20 skills to master as well.

As for last week, the winner of the Game of the Week vote was Gene Effect by Lightstorm 3D. Congratulations to Lightstorm 3D for getting the most votes in last week's poll.
