Plenty of people are waiting patiently for Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition to finally be released onto Android and it looks like those people are going to have to wait a bit longer. Unfortunately Overhaul Games has encountered some new issues which is causing the delay of the game's release.
According to a tweet by Trent Oster who is the creative director behind the project, Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition for Android has hit a snag on Baldur's Gate's resource handling and ship panel APK files. Trent also made sure to make it sound like it wouldn't just be a week or two delay by how he worded his tweet, saying that "We're going to be a while yet on Android".
While we all wait for Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition to arrive on Google Play, since the file system is basically being re-written, there is a team at Overhaul Games already working on Baldur's Gate 2 for mobile, but we already knew that. Hopefully they won't hit the same snag as the first game has done.
Thanks to Mathias T. for the tip!
