Plenty of gamers love to play roguelike dungeon crawlers whether it be a completely ASCII-based with its visuals or a fully 3D rendered dungeon crawler with all the eye candy you could handle. Half the time the draw to games like these isn't because of the visuals at all but because of the content in the game itself which is usually randomly generated.
The fact that it is randomly generated each time you play the game means that it will always be different in some way, almost as though it was a whole new game. Well Pixel Dungeon by watabou is a relatively new roguelike dungeon crawler that sports some cool pixel art to enjoy and randomly generated levels that you'll have to work your way through, leveling up your character in the process or dying horribly.

Pixel Dungeon Features:
- Pixel-art graphics
- Music by Cube_Code
- Basic sound fx
- Simple touch interface
- 15 randomly generated levels (sewers & prison)
- 10 types of monsters + 3 bosses
- 50+ types of items (incl. armor, weapons, potions, wands etc.)
- Various dungeon features (incl. hidden and locked doors, traps, chests etc.)
- Shops
There are some features that come with Pixel Dungeon that you don't usually find in some roguelike dungeon crawlers like the inclusion of shops. However, there are plenty of roguelike goodies in this game such as hidden areas, randomly generate levels, different gear and so on.
While there may only be 15 levels currently in this game that are randomly generated, the developer does state that they will be adding 4-5 levels with each major update, so the content will keep on coming. For those of you interested in checking this game out, you can pick up a copy off of the Google Play store for free.
