Arkalis Interactive have released their newest Stargate title onto Amazon's AppStore as a temporary short-term exclusive. Officially titled Stargate SG-1: Unleashed Ep.1, this particular Stargate game features voice over acting from pretty much most of the cast from the actual show itself.
As you can tell from the title, this is the first episode in what will be a series of games based off of Stargate SG-1 and features some pretty solid 3D visuals as well. However, the stories and adventures in this series will not be taken from the show and instead will be completely new ones. In this particular episode, the SG-1 team will head through the Stargate in an effort to reveal the mysteries behind a new and dangerous Goa’uld enemy.
Stargate SG-1: Unleashed Features:
- Voice over from the original Stargate SG-1 cast - Episode written by well-known Stargate novelist, Sally Malcolm - Travel to previously unknown planets through the Stargate - High quality 3D graphics - Follow the story through eight interactive chapters - Amazing cinematics - New soundtrack based on the original score - You control the SG-1 team - Easy-to-master touchscreen controls
Everything will take place in a third-person perspective, taking command of Colonel O’Neill, and characters such as Captain Carter and Dr. Jackson as they travel to unknown worlds, defeat Jaffa warriors, infiltrate a Goa’uld slave camp, explore mysterious temples, decipher new technology and solve cryptic puzzles.
Even though this is available only on Amazon's AppStore right now, it isn't just exclusive to the Kindle Fire. That means anyone with access to Amazon's AppStore can purchase and download this game for $4.99. If you want to wait until it is available on Google Play, it will arrive there on June 13th, 2013.
