The original creator of Police Quest has decided to hit up Kickstarter for his new game which will be called Precinct. Sort of following in the same footsteps as we have seen with other games like the recently funded and released Leisure Suit Larry title, Precinct will be made for PC and Mac but there is also a stretch goal which will have this new game also arriving onto Android as well as a few other platforms.
So what will Precinct be? Well as you might be guessing, this new game will follow in the footsteps of the Police Quest franchise, giving players a first-hand experience as to what it would be like to be a police officer. You will start off as a rookie cop and working your way up the ranks as you get better. Things like puzzles, driving, combat and procedural steps will all be apart of the game.
The first three Police Quest games were created by Jim Walls who is responsible for this Kickstarter campaign. While the goal is $500K for the PC and Mac version, the Android version is sitting at a stretch goal of $800K. So if the funding gets to that level, we will end up getting an Android version of Precinct. If you want to help out, just jump over to Precinct's official Kickstarter campaign page.
