R2Games is a company known for their browser-based MMO games that a lot of browser gamers tend to play. Well the company looks to be getting into the mobile scene as well with their upcoming game called Excalibur. This game will be an action-filled MMORPG title but instead of being for browsers, this one will be available for mobile gamers.
Excalibur will feature four classes for people to play as: Knight, Wizard, Assassin and Archer. When the game is released though there will only be three classes available at first. The Archer class will arrive in a future update. In terms of content and features, Excalibur will have everything you would want in an MMORPG. There will be guilds, a gem system for enhancing weapons and armor, a Zodiac system for further buffs to your character, An Angel Blessing system, a Demon Soul system and a Rune system. All of these are different ways to either buff or improve your character with.
Interestingly enough, for a company who has made and published very popular browser-based games, there is no word as to whether or not Excalibur will be available for people who play games in their browsers. As of right now, Excalibur is apparently only for Android and iOS. Multiplayer will be cross-platform of course. You've probably already guessed that the theme of the game revolves around King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and that era in time.
So when can you expect to get your hands on Excalibur? Right now here is no release date announced but it will be arriving soon. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer below. When it does arrive, there is a 99% chance that this game will be free-to-play with plenty of IAPs available.
