Pocket Legends Closed Beta for Android now underway

Apparently we were under a rock or perhaps sleeping when this was announced a few days ago. Pocket Legends is now taking sign-ups for the closed beta of the Android version of the game. Interestingly enough though, you have to be a current player to get into the closed beta which means you need an iOS device and an Android device.

If you missed out on what Pocket Legends is, here is a quick review from our previous post about this game. It is a 3D MMORPG game that is widely popular on the iOS platform. The game also sports an in-game trading/selling system where you can get rid of equipment you don't want or need. Speaking of equipment, Pocket Legends also lets you customize just about every piece of gear in the game.

The closed beta will consist of a pool of 50 people and like I mentioned before you already have to have played the game. This means you already need to have a character. While I get the strategy behind this requirement, I don't think there is a huge amount of people who own devices on both platforms aside from media and even then some don't, such as myself.

"The initial phase of beta will be limited to existing Pocket Legends players and forum users that have purchased Platinum. We want people already familiar with the game to be able to compare functionality with their existing iDevice."

If by some craziness you actually own both or used to own an iOS device and played Pocket Legends, you can sign up for the beta using the instructions below:

If you meet the criteria and wish to help, please email support(at)spacetimestudios.com with the subject line [Android Beta] and the following information:

1) Name
2) Email address (which must match your Pocket Legends account email address)
3) What is your character name, and how long have you been playing Pocket Legends?
4) Forum name (so we can give access to protected forums)
5) Primary Apple Device Model (iPad, iPhone, iPod touch)
6) Android Device Model, OS Version, Device Id (the Android client will be locked to your device)
7) A little background information about yourself and why you think you'll be able to help us.

Testers will be notified via email of acceptance and further instructions.

If you get in or are already in the closed beta, let us know about how it is going! Of course we will try to get into this initial phase of the closed beta anyways even if we don't have an iOS device or a previous character made. If we get in, we'll post about how the game is coming along and if not then we will be keeping a close eye for when the closed beta expands to new Android players.

Until then you can check out a bunch of Pocket Legend gameplay videos in our video section if you want to see actual gameplay.
