Rovio states there will be no sequel to Angry Birds - no disgruntled pigs?
Just after writing the previous post regarding NOVA 2 game art I happened to spot an interesting tweet that mentioned there would be no Angry Birds 2 by Rovio. While this may be a bit confusing considering what Rovio CEO, Peter Vesterbacka, said at the Virtual Goods Summit the other day, it could mean a couple things.
1) There actually won't be a second game at all regarding Angry Birds.
2) There is a second game but while it is from the pig's point of view, it won't be called Angry Birds 2. However it will adhere to a lot of the gameplay found in Angry Birds.
3) This upcoming game in the future where it will be the pig's point of view is a completely different game altogether.
Of course we fired off an email to Rovio and we are waiting for official word back regarding what exactly it is that they mean by no Angry Birds 2. When we find out, we will post an update.
