It's good to see some more quality platform games hitting the Android Market. A new one released a couple of days ago by Carbon Crystal Games called Droid Odyssey looks like another very promising one to add to the list. Currently in beta form, this game offers up classic platform-style gaming but with a twist!
Playing Droid Odyssey is done but tapping the left and right arrows on the bottom corners of your screen. You can pick up objects like barrels using the little tractor beam your robot has but tap/holding the green button at the bottom. Tapping it again will toss the item in the direction you are facing.
Features:
For a beta, Droid Odyssey shows a lot of promise and judging by the developer's most recent blog post, the community has taken a liking to it and many people are helping out with bug reports and features. As you progress through each level they get harder to complete and while you don't need to collect every item, you'll miss out on bonus points if you don't.
If you like platform games then you'll definitely want to grab this one and give it a whirl. The developer seems to be working hard on it and although it is a beta version with limited levels, the full version is coming soon. You can pick Droid Odyssey up off the Android Market for free.
