Shrek Kart HD for Android coming soon

Seems in our last article it should have been titles "Triple header" instead of double header thanks again to our resident tipster, Mariano Zorrilla! After a bit of digging, Mariano came up with a new game slated for release on the Android platform by Gameloft, Shrek Kart HD. As you may have guessed, this is similar to Mario Kart but with Shrek Characters.

This game features the usual high quality 3D HD graphics found in all of the Android games from Gameloft. Controls seem to be a mixture of tilt and on-screen buttons (great for racing games) and there are a lot of features that come along with Shrek Kart.

• 4 Single Player modes: Single Race, Tournament, Challenges and Arena
• Local multiplayer mode via WiFi and Bluetooth
• 19 Cups to win in Tournament mode, 72 challenges
• 10 Unique karts, all with their own special ability and different characteristics
• 11 Defensive and offensive power-ups
• 15 Different track - 12 Speedways and 3 Arenas
• Over 10 playable characters: Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, Ogre Triplets, Puss In Boots, Gingy, 3 Little Pigs, Pinocchio, Big Bad Wolf and the Ghost of Lord Farquaad
• Great HD 3D graphics
• Combination tilt/on-screen controls
• Original soundtrack

At the time of writing this, there is no word on exactly when Shrek Kart will be available for Android. If history serves us correctly though, it shouldn't be too much longer. Usually when Gameloft releases information like this, the game is usually almost ready for public purchase.

As with all Gameloft games, you'll only be able to buy Shrek Kart through the Gameloft Store. Price will probably follow the pattern of $4.99 as with all Gameloft HD games for Android. Check out the official trailer for Shrek Kart for Android below!
