Recently release iOS game by Namco, Puzzle Quest 2, will be coming to Android as well in early 2011. Ironically, the original Puzzle Quest never came to the Android Market. If you don't know what Puzzle Quest is, take an RPG game and have it go out for a one night stand with a Bejeweled match-3 type of game, result being Puzzle Quest.

Meshing the two genres together to create a unique new style of game, Puzzle Quest 2 features a lot of elements you would find in an RPG game but battle is done via a Bejeweled match-3 type of game where you go against your current enemy. There are all kinds of interesting aspects to this game including spells, upgrades to your character, battling friends and more.

Some Features:

  • Great looking graphics
  • Multiplayer battles
  • Spells, Mana Gems, Character classes
  • 3rd person world exploration
  • Storyline with limitless endings

So far withe recent release of Puzzle Quest 2 on iOS, PC, Nintendo Wii and DS, the reviews have been pretty solid in favor of the game. While most Namco games on the Android Market are usually between $2.99-$4.99 in pricing, this game is slated to follow the iOS price tag of $9.99. This game will probably only appeal to the more hardcore gamer but you never know, we will wait and see.

The Android version will be available in early 2011. Until then, enjoy some iOS screenshots to give you an idea of what it will look like and a preview video.
