Google Play Games can now utilize "Nearby" multiplayer if implemented by the developers. Nearby multiplayer allows users to invite other players who are near them in real life to their online game session. It also can find people playing the same game as you who are close by.
A new puzzler has arrived onto Google Play called Space Kitty from Sly Lamb. While this game has nothing to do with the Nyan Cat, that is completely okay because it is actually quite a fun game to play. Players will take on the role of Captain Kitty who is out to save a bunch of scared aliens from a space station that was destroyed, trapping them in there.
Originally a card game, Sentinels of the Multiverse now exists in the digital realm with an Android release that costs $9.99. Fans of the original will be happy to know that this is a fully featured version of the game, and even uses the same artwork, along with new artwork created by the same artist.
One of the major players in the hard rock music scene, and have been for awhile now, Avenged Sevenfold have decided to release an action RPG onto mobile. This interesting game is called Hail to the King: Deathbat and surprisingly looks quite good visually. Usually when this sort of thing happens, it is more of a 2D experience but not with this game.
Having already released a more modern racing game, aptly named Cargasm HD, Candella Systems LTD has decided to release another racing game but this time set in a more Roman type of theme called Chariot Wars. This game does feature both single-player and multiplayer game modes to race in.
Drone: Shadow Strike is a new game where you get to make tactical strikes against bad people (I assume they are bad). It is available for free on Google Play and features in-app purchases, that in a really awesome feature can be turned off in the options menu.
If you are a fan of Disney Infinity you may be craving the experience on Android platforms. Sadly unlike Skylanders the game is not available, and it doesn't look like there is chance Disney Infinity 2.0 will be getting the Android treatment. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help rescue a witch's beloved cat from monsters called the Blarghinis.
House of Fire, the original developers of the first The Silent Age game, has released the final part of the series today for Android devices. The Silent Age Episode Two picks up right where the first episode left off, taking players on an adventure "into a dystopian future where mankind has gone extinct". Sounds like fun doesn't it.
Pixel boat Rush is the latest project from XperimentalZ Games. If you played their last game, Don't Run With A Plasma Sword, then you already know that they know how to make really fun games, around the most interesting subject matter. Pixel Boat Rush is very different from their last game. It will arrive in the Google Play Store next week, October 22nd. However, if you want to play the game now, you have the opportunity to do so, by signing up for the beta. XperimentalZ Games is doing the beta a little differently though, similar to Early Access Games on Steam. You can buy it now at a reduced cost and get all the upgrades/updates, when the game is released.
Amazon Games Studio doesn't put out a lot of games but the ones that they do release are usually pretty good titles. Today they have announced three new titles they have been working on that will be arriving onto Android soon. Of course these games are exclusively for Amazon's Android devices: the new Amazon Fire Phone and Amazon Fire Tablet.
