Halfbrick Studios will be releasing their upcoming side-scrolling action game Machine Gun Jetpack onto multiple platforms including Android. Back during GDC 2011 we got to play with it and it was seriously fun. Since then there have been improvements made and new features added.
The purpose of the game is to get as far as you can on your jetpack which, conveniently, shoots machine gun rounds. In fact, that is how the jetpack is propelled! This, of course, stars Barry Steakfries from their recently released game Age of Zombies. Along the way you will grab coins while destroying enemies and avoiding obstacles, on your machine gun jetpack, until you end up dieing. At which point, you can use those coins to get upgrades. Of course there will also be power-up and other goodies along the way.
Should you want to get a bit of a jump start, Machine gun Jetpack will offer in-game purchases as well although you can certainly play the game just fine without doing so. Machine Gun Jetpack will be available sometime in the next 6-8 weeks for the price of $0.99. When it hits the market, we will be sure to announce it so you can grab it right away.
