So there is a big juicy rumor going around right now regarding the Xperia Play and that it will be carried by Orange in the UK. In case you've been living under a rock the past 6 months, the Xperia Play is an Android gaming device by Sony/Sony Ericcson which will play Playstation games and comes with a slide out controller.
While there is really no solid evidence to support this, the source told Mobile Today that it would be coming out on Orange UK and that they are close to the project. Everyone is close to a project it seems these days. While that is great for all our UK readers, what about the US?
Well Phandroid is also speculating that it will arrive on Sprint here in the US. Speculation is now that the Feb. 7th, 2011 announcement coming up with Sprint and David Blaine will involve the Xperia Play. However, this is slightly early since MWC 2011 doesn't start till mid-February which is where the apparent unveiling of this device, officially anyways, is going to be.
Again, like all things rumor and speculated, take it with a grain of salt.
