This morning we reported on the OUYA's new Kickstarter project. Well now we are happy to report that barely after 8 hours have passed, OUYA is now completely funded on Kickstarter. In fact it has already surpassed the $1 million dollar mark and it still has 29 days to go.
As of right now the developers have not posted and update on Kickstarter, probably because they weren't expecting to get funded so fast. As of right now we have no idea what the extra money will go towards but we can certainly guess that it will go, at least in part, to pushing the launch of OUYA closer. Of course with 29 days left for funding there could be a hell of a lot more money surplus for extra features and what not.

For those that missed this morning's article, here are the current specs for OUYA. We could see a bit of a boost in storage thanks to the extra money.
- Tegra3 quad-core processor
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB of internal flash storage
- HDMI connection to the TV, with support for up to 1080p HD
- WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
- Bluetooth LE 4.0
- USB 2.0 (one)
- Wireless controller with standard controls (two analog sticks, d-pad, eight action buttons, a system button), a touchpad
- Android 4.0
So it looks like the dream of an open gaming platform, for both gamers and developers alike, is finally going to be a reality. We will post an update when the developers figure out what their stretch goals will be and post them.
