We turn 1yr old today! Month long party ensues for everyone including our readers!

It's been one year to the day since we officially went live here at DroidGamers and it has been one heck of a year to say the least. We have grown ridiculously fast and we have no signs of slowing down. To celebrate, we are going to be doing a ton of things for all of you over the course of the next month!

Giveaways: We have been stock piling everything we have collected from the past couple of conferences and bought some new stuff too. This means we will be giving a ton of swag away over the next month for all of you to win! Now you are probably wondering "Andrew, what kind of swag do you have for us to win?". Well I think the best way to describe it is with a picture of some of the gear we have for you to win!

As you can see there is a lot of gear you could win and that's not all of it, just what we could fit in the picture! You'll have to pay attention to the site though to win as some gear will be given away through Twitter, the forums and other areas of the site!

New Site Features: We have been hard at work with the site to expand it with more features for all of you to enjoy, something lots of you already know from our constant testing on the site. Some things to expect over the next month:

• New community section: Registered users will now have the ability to post their own blogs, share photos and videos, write on other peoples profiles and a whole lot more. Developers can sync up with SorceForge and their profile and it will automatically update in your profile when you commit a new version of a game you're working on. This is so you can have more time to concentrate on your game development and worry less about posting updates in a blog. This way everyone can see how your game is progressing or when it's updated! All of this is also wrapped around Facebook connect and Twitter connect for everyone to log-in easier! Lastly, users will be able to update their Facebook and Twitter statuses right from their profile here! All of this is completely integrated into the site as well. Expect more information on this later this morning.
• Podcasts: We will be starting our podcasts this month as well. Podcasts will be done on a weekly basis and we will officially post about what day they will be on shortly.
• DroidGamers Store: We will be launching our online store this month as well. This will be unlike other stores though as we will be selling not only DroidGamers swag but swag from other developers as well. We will also have a section up in the store which will be featuring high-quality Android games to help give developers more exposure and make it easier for gamers to find great games to play!

Android Gaming Challenge #2: The second Android Gaming Challenge will be starting this month as well, near the later part. If you thought the prizes were awesome in AGC#1, just wait till you see what the prizes are for AGC#2! Cash prizes, devices, swag, games and much more! We will also be doing these three times a year starting this year with a fourth special Grand Finale at the end of the year but we can't dive into the details on that yet, just know it will be awesome.

Mobile: This is something that a lot of you guys have been wanting for awhile now. We will be launching the full mobile version of DroidGamers this month as well! Also if all goes as planned, we will have an app available as well so definitely keep an eye out for that. We almost launched the mobile version of the site but decided not to only to make sure it was a good, feature-packed mobile site for everyone to enjoy.

It's been a long year full of hard work and massive growth and we couldn't have gotten to where we are today if it wasn't for all of you who come here and sticking by us as we grow! We've had some growing pains, server upgrades and many other things along the way but we never had to worry about our readers leaving! So aside from all of these new things coming, we also want to say thank you to our readers and the entire Android community! Here's to yet another year of Android gaming goodness!
