[Updated] GameStop brings out the Asus Transformer Prime release date as November 28th!

Pre-orders have just begun as of yesterday through both Amazon and Asus for the Tegra 3 quad-core Transformer Prime tablet. GameStop is also apparently going to be carrying this monster of a tablet as well and happen to be showing it off on their site. The interesting news though is that they have also added a release date!

While up until now the release date on any site you go to has been "soon" or "this December", GameStop has just outright said it will be coming December 9th November 28th, 2011 on this page listing the Asus Transformer Prime tablet. It really isn't a shock that GameStop would also be selling the first quad-core tablet for Android and as Droid-Life is reporting, this December 9th November 28th date isn't just a re-order date considering you can pre-order it right now. That means this is the actual date it will start shipping out! The wait is almost over for those of you who have managed to pre-order one already whether it's on Amazon, Asus' website or GameStop.

So now the question is, where will you be pre-ordering your Asus Transformer Prime from?

*Update November 23rd, 2011 11:33am: The date according to Phandroid has now been moved even closer to November 28th! That's only 5 days away!

*Update #2 November 23rd, 2011 11:47am: Here is what is going on with the two different dates for GameStop's Transformer Primes. There is a bundle package which will come with a controller and other stuff. This bundle package will be released on November 28th, 2011 for $539.99. There is also a separate listing with just the Asus Transformer Prime itself, without any sort of bundle package, which will be released December 9th, 2011 for $499. *Update #3 November 24th, 2011 8:38am: It seems that the November 28th release date for the bundle was a screw up on GameStop's part. The official release date for both packages is December 9th, 2011.
