Posted by AndrewH in Hardware and Devices on September 07, 2012

Finally some solid news about the Wikipad and its release date, at least for when it goes on say at Gamestop. The Wikipad, as you may or may not know, is a gaming focus Android tablet with detachable gaming controls you can add to the side of the tablet. It provides a full set of gaming controls so you can play games using actual physical controls.

Gamestop is apparently going to be selling the Wikipad for $499 this October when it lands on their shelves. The specs are pretty impressive as well, with the Wikipad sporting a Tegra 3chipset, Android 4.1, an HD IPS display and rolls in at a size of 10.1", a boost over the original 7" design they were previously going to go with.

So when will this gaming focused Android tablet hit Gamestop's shelves? According to the press release, which you can read below, the Wikipad will arrive on October 31st, 2012 in Gamestop stores. So for everyone who has been waiting for this, your wait is almost over.
