Skillz: The DJ Game coming to an Android tablet near you.

Got skillz? If you are not sure if you have got the skills to be a DJ and don't feel like investing in all the gear just to find out you're tone deaf, there is good news on the horizon for you. Soon you will be able to live out your DJing fantasies thanks to a new game coming soon from Playpen Studios.

Coming soon is a game called Skillz: The DJ Game which will let you live your DJing fantasies in some pretty slick looking 3D graphics. Interestingly enough, this will be a tablet game due to the type of gameplay. You will be planted in front of all the DJ gear you could need and it will be your job to tear it up using that gear. It is basically like DJ Hero but with a different style of gameplay. With your gear you will have to scratch, cross-fade and drop in samples to get the crowd going.

Some Features:

• Step Into A World of DJing: Single player music game for all ages that simulates the world of a superstar DJ and allows players to mix and scratch songs using a tablet’s touchscreen interface.
• The Freshest Music: Play over 20 of the hottest dance tracks from world-renowned artists including Diplo, People Under The Stairs, Crookers, Fedde Le Grand and more.
• Exhilarating Gameplay: Tap the screen to trigger samples, swipe the crossfader, and scratch the virtual vinyl to remix songs as you play.
• Build Your Rep: Unlock new levels and earn achievements as you play through various difficulty settings and grow your fan base.
• Rule the Crowd: Compete on a global leaderboard against friends and foes, and unlock achievements with OpenFeint integration.
• Expansive Music Library: Post-release support with new track packs to become available on an ongoing basis.

It actually comes with an impressive tracklist from some big artists. Playpen Studios has only revealed part of the tracklist that will launch with the game. So far the tracks announced are the following:

• Diplo – “Newsflash”
• Samantha James – “Breathe You In (Andy Caldwell Dub)”

Skillz: The DJ Game will be released onto Android tablets and PCs in the near future. Playpen Studios will be at E3 this year showing Skillz off on the iPad. Since it will be coming to Android tablets as well, we will be sure to check it out and get some hands-on footage for everyone! Stay Tuned!
