One game we have reported on a few times in the past and are eagerly waiting to get our hands on is a tablet game called Skillz: The DJ Game. As the title suggests you play as a DJ and your job is to get the crowd going as hardcore as you can. We now have new screenshots, trailer and more music to report on.

The screenshots showing the actual gameplay show us exactly what we will be getting ourselves into once we get this title. It's DJ Hero for your Android tablet but done properly. You'll have a fader, 4 different colored section for notes as well as 2 outside lanes for sampling, scratching and effects. Also now that we see how the gameplay will be, we can safely say that this will indeed be a tablet only game. There is no way to scale this type of gameplay down to properly fit on a phone.

They have also revealed another 11 tracks that will be available at launch time to play. This brings the track list total to almost 30! Here are the new tracks:

• Kid Cudi Vs. Crookers - "Day 'N' Nite" Vs. Hoxton Whores - “Friday Saturday Love”
• Mr Scruff – “Test The Sound”
• Roots Manuva – “Witness (1 Hope)”
• Roots Manuva – “Buff Nuff”
• Guilty Simpson & Oh No - "Futuristic" feat. MED
• Poirier - "Wha-La-La-Leng" feat. Face T
• Nu Tone - "Never Together" feat. Logistics
• “Stones Throw Megamix 1” featuring tracks from artists including Dam Funk, James Pants, and Oh No
• “Stones Throw Megamix 2” featuring tracks from artists including Maker, Lazer Sword and Cx kidtronic
• “Om Megamix” featuring tracks from artists including King Kooba, Andy Caldwall and Chuck Love
• “Ninja Tune Megamix” featuring tracks from artists including Blockhead, Ty, Mr Scruff and Roots Manuva

This will end up being the most complete music game available for mobile when it comes out. All other games in this genre have always been toned down which inevitably kills the experience most of the time. No word just yet on an exact release date unfortunately. Until then though you can enjoy this trailer and the slew of new screenshots showing the gameplay on an iPad. More details in the press release below the video. You may notice it says a video of the gameplay in the press release however we were unable to find it on the site. We will update this article once it's available.

“We’ve been getting a lot of great feedback after Skillz’s recent appearance on G4’s X-Play,” said Joe Gilbertson, Co-founder of Playpen Studios. “Now that everyone is getting a chance to check out the gameplay trailers and see the game in action, we’re excited for the next steps – dropping the launch date and finally getting Skillz into gamers’ hands.”

Skillz features touch-based gameplay that has players directly interfacing with tablets’ touchscreen to scratch records, crossfade and drop samples into tracks. In the game’s career mode, successful DJing earns fans, which unlock additional features and allows gamers to progress through five unique venues with one of six playable characters. Players will also want to rack up points to unlock achievements and compete on global leaderboards through OpenFeint.
