Back in September we reported on a browser-based Tower Defense game called Age of Defenders that would be heading to Android soon. Well now the wait is over and it's now available for your Android tablet to play and demolish other players in.
What makes Age of Defenders HD a rather interesting game is the more offensive approach it takes with the Tower Defense genre of games. While you have the ability to plant towers to defender yourself against enemy units, you also have to send out units of your own to try and destroy their base. Your enemies, however, are actual other players so you won't be competing against some AI generated opponent and each game you will have to use a different strategy.
Features:
Just in case you don't feel like going up against other players, it does come with five single player campaigns that you can play should you need a break from owning other people. This is a real-time strategy game so you will have to be quick with your building and gameplay if you plan to beat other players. The multiplayer is cross-platform compatible so you will be going up against people on iOS and who are playing online on their PC.
One thing to note though, this game is only currently playable on Android tablets that run at 1200x800 resolution. No word yet on if/when more will be supported. You can pick up Age of Defenders off the Android Market for $2.99. To see it in action, check out the trailer below.
