The tablet you see here may very well be the highly anticipated Nexus tablet. For a long time now, word has been spreading that Google is planning to release a tablet that bears the Nexus branding. Asus is expected to be the manufacturer, and an announcement will most likely come at Google I/O this week.
Well it looks like the Google Nexus Tablet is going to be hitting store shelves a bit sooner than anyone expected it to according to a new report from Digitimes. In this report, the 7" Nexus Tablet for Asus has already begun shipping out, at least to San Francisco where it is now going to be officially unveiled during Google I/O 2012.
The larger brother of the Galaxy Note from Samsung has apparently quietly slipped onto Amazon for pre-orders already. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 quad-core tablet will roll on out when it is release with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) and is apparently going to be available as soon as 3-5 weeks.
We have been watching and reporting on all the rumors about the Nexus tablet Google has been wanting to release. One rumor is that Asus would be the manufacturer that would be making the device, something that makes a lot of sense. Well it is now confirmed that Asus is indeed making the Nexus tablet.
