Well we finished a week of giveaways to celebrate a bunch of different things from just the new year starting to our site redesign launching and even some features we haven't even launched yet but will be over the next few weeks. Or have we finished giving away stuff yet...
Paradox Interactive has announced that they will be bringing Magicka: Wizards of the Square Tablet to Android tablets in the near future. This top-down RPG will be undergoing a bit of a change from its PC brethren though in terms of the visuals that will come with this new mobile version. Even though the game's visuals will be of a cartoon style instead of the 3D nature the PC version has, the core game mechanics will remain the same.
There were plenty of good platformer coming out back in the 1990s and it is always good to see new life being breathed into some of these classics so we can once again enjoy them. Right now a game called Worlds of Wander has begun looking for funding on Kickstarter and this particular game is a spiritual successor to the Commander Keen series from back in the 1990s.
American McGee's upcoming Action-RPG Akaneiro: Demon Hunters has been successfully funded on Kickstater with reaching their goal of $200,000. This game, already in closed beta for PC, is also slated for release on Android and iOS but in order to get the game finished as completely as the developer's wanted it to be, they actually had to turn to Kickstarter for additional funding.
