Terry Cavanagh's rather addictive yet somewhat frustrating game Super Hexagon has had an update go live for it today for the Android version. The overall theme for this update is the game's performance, minimizing any in-game lag that could happen and the game just running faster in general. These are important aspects of the game considering the entire game is based off of your ability to get your little shape into the gap of each hexagon that comes at you.
If you're a fan of gamebook series such as Fighting Fantasy (the actual physical books) or Tin Man Games' Gamebook Advenutre series, then the news we reported on not too long ago about a bunch of the first Fighting Fantasy books being brought over to Android was very good news to read. Interesting news coming out of Rovio today in the form of a video which features the legendary guitarist Slash of Guns 'N Roses fame. The release of this video is somewhat random but then again that isn't surprising since it is coming from Rovio. Game Insight has officially announced that they will be bringing a new poker game to Android and iOS called Jewel Poker. For those of you who play poker, Jewel Poker will come with two games, Omaha and Texas Hold 'Em. The developers are stating that Jewel Poker will provide players with 'lightening-fast gameplay with huge bonuses'.
Two games we have previously reported on that had gone to Kickstarter have successfully been funded. Heroes of Steel RPG by the Trese Brothers and Delver's Drop by Pixelscopic have both reached their funding goals and both games will be developed and arrive on Android when they are done. Delver's Drop will also be heading to the Android-powered console OUYA as well when it is released.
