It's Wednesday and keep with the tradition that this week has somehow developed in regards to news pertaining to GREE, the company has announced a rather impressive list of games that will be heading to their platform in the near future. It is no secret that GREE has had their sights on expanding into the European and North American mobile gaming market on Android, having a rather aggressive expansion plan in place since they officially announced that their social gaming platform would be expanding worldwide instead of strictly in Japan earlier this year.
Awhile ago we talked about Fox Entertainment and Angry Mob Games teaming up to bring an Aliens vs Predator game to Android called Aliens vs Predator: Evolution. Since then the two companies actually released a Predator only themed game, appropriately called Predators, onto Google Play. Now they are back to showing off their upcoming Aliens vs Predator game.
Acquire, who are the developers of the rather unique platformer called SUMIONI Demon Arts THD that was recently released for Tegra-based devices, have had their next title appear on Tegra Zone and Google Play. Orgarhythm THD, as it is called, is a game we briefly mentioned back a few months ago when we were talking about upcoming games heading our way for Tegra-based devices.
I’m supposed to explain to you what I thought about My Little Pony, a new adorable city-builder by Gameloft. I could make it really easy and say that it is a pretty charming, well-made city-builder and mini-game collection that is really nothing new. Sure, it has a nice pink coating of Pony magic all over it, but the mechanics have been seen a million times. This is par for the Gameloft course; they specialize in re-creation.
One game we have been eager to see get release by Gameloft is their spin-off of their MMORPG called Order & Chaos. However, this spin-off from that MMORPG is actually a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game called Heroes of Order & Chaos, a game we have talked about a few times in the past couple of months. This will be the first MOBA game to hit mobile devices and it does look promising.
As most Angry Birds players have come to expect from Rovio, their Angry Birds Seasons game will be receiving an update soon for the upcoming Christmas season and it shall be called Winter Wonderham if what AngryBirdsNest has spotted becomes a reality, which it usually does. Spotted in the iOS Game Center, the new update's name has been seen even though it isn't available yet.
Amazon has release new plug-ins for the Unity3D engine which will allow developers to easily integrate Amazon's in-app purchasing and Amazon's GameCircle APIs into games being developed using the Unity engine. While this was possible already, it certainly was a lot harder and took a lot more time to integrate these features into Unity built games that were slated for release onto Amazon's AppStore.
There is an official Ong Bak game currently being developed by Studio HIVE called Ong Bak Tri which will be based off of the upcoming installment into the series of movies that feature Tony Jaa beating the ever living hell out of a plethora of people. Even though it is being developed by Studio HIVE, it will be published onto PC, consoles and smartphones by Immanitas Entertainment.
Back in August of this year we reported on what the next release from DotEmu would be, which turned out to be a four-in-one deal with a package called Raiden Legacy. As you may be guessing, this release will contain four Raiden games stuffed into one package for all of you arcade shooter fans to drool over. Since then all has been quite as to when Raiden Legacy would be arriving, until now that is.
