More trouble arises for Ouya’s Free The Games funding campaign, another game bites the dust

Two games have already had their issues with Ouya’s Free The Games funding campaign with one being pulled from Kickstarter while the other, which ended up successfully funded, was almost pulled as well. Ouya’s Free The Games program will match developers who have a successful Kickstarter campaign for $50,000 or more as their initial goal. Ouya will then turn around and match whatever their goal was as long as the game developers also agree to a six month exclusivity period for their funded game.

Square Enix confirms Final Fantasy Agito will be localized, doesn’t confirm Western release though

For whatever particular reason Square Enix today has confirmed that Final Fantasy Agito will be localized but did not confirm that it would be released for Western audiences. Up until now this new Final Fantasy game was assumed to be coming as a worldwide release but today’s news makes it sound like the game was originally intended to not be released in the West.

Cyanogen becomes a company thanks to $7 million in funding, official installer on the way

While we don’t usually post about different versions of Android that are being developed by third-party groups such as the really popular CyanogenMod but today’s news make an exception for us considering this particular ROM has over 8 million users, a lot of which read DroidGamers. It looks like the company is about to go mainstream as Cyanogen Inc is now a thing thanks to the fresh $7 million in funding the company has just received through Benchmark Capital and Redpoint Ventures.

Nvidia unveils their Tegra Note reference device, letting OEMs offer Tegra 4 for as little as $200

Nvidia today finally unveiled their Tegra Note which is a reference device that shows off their Tegra 4 platform. What this does is allow manufacturers to offer the Tegra 4 platform to create 7″ tablets for as little as $200. Basically this means manufacturers can use this tablet as a starting point, enabling them to quickly bring their own branded 7″ tablet to market much more quickly by using this one as the base model.

A new retro style platform has arrived onto Google Play called Brave Bit. This challenging little platformer features the dual-tone visuals we are used to seeing in minimalistic style games like this with the dark (black) foreground with the single color background. When we say this is a challenging platformer, we mean it is rather challenging, like up there with Super Meat Boy challenging.
