505 Studios has released a trailer for Snoop Dogg’s Way of the Dogg rhythm-based combat game showing off some of the gameplay and how it works. While the trailer is for the XBLA version of the game, just imagine that instead of using a controller for all the actions you will be doing in time to the music, you’ll be using touch screen swipes instead.
Melesta Studios is responsible for the rather enjoyable Toy Defense tower defense game on Android right now and the company has just released a sequel onto iOS, appropriately named Toy Defense 2. Melesta Studios plans to bring this sequel over to Android in the near future as well.
With the original released date for Leviathan: Warships being April 30th, Paradox Interactive happens to be a few days late in bringing their naval action strategy game over to Android. Thankfully we’ve had that rather funny trailer they released recently to tide us over till now.
With the OUYA console just months away from consumers and it finally landing in the hands of developers, the “hands-on” impressions are starting to roll in. As it turns out, DroidGamers has yet to get their hands on a console to officially review. Also, as we get closer and closer to the OUYA release more of the promises or intentions of this platform are beginning to fall flat.

However, 505 Games isn’t stopping there with the release of Snoop Dogg’s game as they play to bring Way of the Dogg to both Android and iOS in the near future.

It was only a matter of time before EA brought Popcap’s Bejeweled Blitz over to Android for Bejeweled fans to kill all their free time with. Actually it is surprising that this game hadn’t made it way to Android before now. Regardless of that, it is here now and match-3 puzzle fans can now dive into this new Bejeweled game on their Android devices.
Zynga has been doing some soft launches of a few games lately and while this isn’t another soft launch, it is a game that will most likely see one at first before it gets fully released. Zynga is entering the world of MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) style games and Solstice Arena will be their debut MOBA title which will be arriving onto multiple platforms in the near future.
Back in April we talked about Angry Birds Seasons and that Rovio was getting ready to release an update to it which would bring a whole new game mechanic to it, one that we speculated would be something along the lines of portals that you could fling a bird into and teleport them to a different location in each stage. Rovio has now confirmed that this update will indeed have the new portal game mechanic.
We haven’t talked about Amazon’s free app/game of the day for awhile, mostly because even though the games or applications being offered up free each day are pretty decent, we figure most people check it on a regular basis anyways. However, once in awhile a title pops up that is one that most people should probably snag a copy of and today’s free game is one of those titles.
