Computex 2011 is currently underway over in Taiwan and one of the little gems of awesomeness that has come out of Computex already is in regards to nVidia showing off some serious eye candy on their upcoming quad-core chipset, codenamed Kal-El. The game is called Glowball and it does, indeed, shine.

[Updated] Minecraft Mobile getting unveiling at E3? Very possible and yes that includes an Android version.
This invite that is going around seems to be hinting at an unveiling of Minecraft Mobile at this year’s E3. The invite comes from Sony Ericsson with a photo of the Xperia Play on it and mentions some nice relaxing evening that will happen at E3. It also has Minecraft graphics all over it.
Game Closure is at Google I/O 2011 this year over at the developer’s sandbox showing off their new pure HTML5 game called Pop Star Defense. You might find it odd that a browser game developer is at Google I/O but having been developed using HTML5, Pop Star Defense is playable on any mobile device through it’s browser.
Gamevil debuts Kami Retro for the Android platform at Google I/O. It’s about time it came to Android.
Gamevil just announced that they were setting up their booth over at Google I/O 2011 which will be featuring their other recent hit game for iOS called Kami Retro. This time, however, it won’t be seen on iOS but instead running on Android! This would mean it is on the way for us to play soon!
Yet another major announcement in the opening keynote session came out and one that everyone should be happy about. Google has partnered with 10 OEMs and carriers to guarantee timely Android updates to devices. This is in order to combat OS fragmentation which has been happening a lot. One device gets their update while others wait for months.
Google has dropped a ton of announcements already at Google I/O 2011 and another big one is that the next version of Android will be called Ice Cream Sandwich. The name we already knew but it was only hinted at it being available for phones and tablets. That hint is now a reality and will feature parts of Honeycomb and Gingerbread.

Google I/O 2011 has just started and already the announcements are all over the place. Everything from movie rentals on the Android Market, Google Music beta and Ice Cream Sandwich being announced just to name a few. One great feature coming in Honeycomb 3.1 though is the ability for USB host support.
It has been awhile since we have seen Getjar letting loose on exclusive free games for Android. That’s not to say they haven’t been doing that but it seems like it has been much more quite. Well that silence has been broke with Outlaw Racing 2011 exclusively available for Android on Getjar right now for free.
There are some types games that are going to benefit more than others when it comes to the gaming controls the Xperia Play has to offer. Sports games will be one of those genres that are going to be just better with a physical set of gaming controls. Hockey Nations 2011 is now available exclusively for the Xperia Play.

Guinness World Records has embraced the gaming sphere a lot more over the past few years including even coming out with a Gamer’s Edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. Today they announced a new application for Android based around the Gamer’s Edition of World Records called the Gamer’s Edition Arcade.
