Seems like Stonetrip’s ShiVa3D Engine is being boosted yet again even after a recent update with a slew of new features. Stonetrip and Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) have announced a partnership regarding game development on mobile platforms that are powered by the OMAP 3 platform.

ShiVa3D by Stonetrip has just announced an update to their game development suite. Version 1.9 now includes a bunch of goodies for all game developers include Android and are a result of direct customer feedback. Nice to know companies do listen to their customers. VDC (Verizon Developer Community) Conference just ended and we happen to attend it looking for any little tidbits of information that we could find. While not expecting anything groundbreaking at VDCC we did however dig up some juicy information regarding a few items. One of which was right in the opening session on the first day.
Well it seems that the Unreal Engine by Epic is all but officially confirmed to be coming to Android. Ever since GDC 2010 when it was mentioned that support for the iPhone (now iOS in general) was coming to the UDK (Unreal Developers Kit), eventual Android support was left in the air for all to speculate on as no official word at GDC 2010 was ever mention.
Unity3D continues to make news it seems and this week is no exception. In the midst of giving away 500 free Nexus One phone to the first 500 pre-sale orders of Unity Pro for Android, another announcement was made today regarding even more free phones. Unity3D is really pushing their support of Android but to get these phones you have to be a school.
Unity3D is a great 3D engine made for game developer to use in the creation of their 3D games. This engine covers everything from browser based MMORPGs to PC games, iPhone/iPad to console games and not so long ago announced it would be supporting Android game development with an Android version of their engine. It was just announced that pre-sales will be starting shortly.
