Adobe Air Pre-release

Myself, along with probably every other developer and Android site, got an email today inviting us to join in on the Adobe Air pre-release. I’ve taken a bit of time to look through everything and I have to say it is pretty impressive, of course speaking in a strictly gaming aspect. When signed in to the pre-release program you have access to the beta Air 2.5 SDK with Android support.

Today’s keynote session just came to a close and it was one hell of a session at that with a ton of announcements including both Froyo (Andorid 2.2) and GoogleTV being announced. While every Android site right now are hurrying to write up everything in the perspective of an Android user, we are writing up what this means to us in terms of gaming.

MySpace SDK for Android

This news comes as no surprise to us here at Droid Gamers, especially after we reported on ScoreLoop yesterday which had a feature that allows MySpace integration into Android games to help make them more social. Today MySpace announced officially that they are releasing their SDK for developers to use in their apps/games for Android.

Scoreloop is a social gaming platform for mobile games and has recently added support for Android games. Scoreloop allows users to track other player’s achievements as well as share games with friends. Two of the most popular games for Android, Jewels and Toss It!, now use Scoreloop and the company claims it’s growing faster than Foursquare.

Zeemote SDK For Android

It would seem as though the peripheral market for Android gaming is starting to mature more and more. First we have the Game Gripper, a great little addition to anyone with a Motorola Droid (and other Android phones coming in the near future) and now we have an announcement that Zeemote has released an SDK for Android game developers.
