Fans of the Boulder Dash franchise have a bunch of new content to try your hand at thanks to the new update for Boulder Dash 30th Anniversary Edition on Android. This particular update is also pretty big in size, adding two new entire worlds to the game as well as a slew of new features.

Boulder Dash – 30th Anniversary Edition was originally released back in October 2014 as a free-to-play game with IAPs available for additional content that players could buy when they wanted to do so. While the free-to-play version has done well for itself, apparently there was enough people out there who asked for a premium version that Tapstar Interactive listened and now there is a premium version available on Google Play and Amazon’s Appstore.
Another Boulder Dash game will be arriving onto Android in a couple of weeks in celebration of its 30th birthday. Officially called Boulder Dash 30th Anniversary, two of the original creators (Chris Gray and Peter Liepa) have come back and teamed up for the first time since the Rockford™ character was first introduced in 1984.
If you’re a fan of the Boulder Dash franchise then you’ll you be happy to know that a 30th anniversary edition of Boulder Dash is currently under development and will be making its way to multiple platforms when it is released including Android devices. This anniversary edition is being developed by a studio called Tap Star Interactive.
Recently Herocraft, in conjunction with First Star Software, released a remake of the classic Boulder Dash games called Boulder Dash-XL. While this game features the same hectic style of gameplay as the classic version did from a long time ago, the visuals have been completely redone with a more 3D look to them. There are also a couple of other features that this reboot comes with to bring it more into the modern times.

First Star Software has updated Boulder Dash – The Collection and it now includes all of the original cave packs that were originally not available until now. To celebrate, they have put everything on sale as well.
Retro game fans can have a bit of a nerdgasm today as we just spotted Boulder Dash – The Collection on the Android Market. Released on October 1st, this is a collection of five Boulder Dash games including the original title from back in 1984.
