So our little gaming tournament was supposed to start July 1st but due to the holidays that weekend we decided to delay it. Since then we have had even more interest in AGC (a.k.a Android Gaming Challenge) which is always nice. In fact, there is so much interest that we have modified the layout.

Guinness World Records releases Gamer’s Edition app onto Android. Win a hard copy for yourself here!
Guinness World Records has embraced the gaming sphere a lot more over the past few years including even coming out with a Gamer’s Edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. Today they announced a new application for Android based around the Gamer’s Edition of World Records called the Gamer’s Edition Arcade.
As you may or may not know, we here at DroidGamers are based out of Las Vegas, NV with staff from various parts of the USA and Europe. Hackers with political motivation, being called hactivists by the media are using a tool known as Low Orbit Ion Cannon (found on the internet with a simple search) to attack PayPal, MasterCard, and Visa. Credit processors stopped donations to WikiLeaks, a Whistle-Blowing website out of fear of legal recourse. It disrupted the ability to make purchases in the Android Market for several hours as a result.
Motorola demonstrated an unnamed (although dubbed the Everest) prototype tablet slated for sometime in 2011 featuring a “dual core 3D processor” by nVIDIA, who preps for that growing Android gaming market with dramatically improved gaming performance, likely Tegra 2 or a later variant. It also comes with Honeycomb, Android’s tablet focused OS.
A working Honeycomb build was shown off to the public in a recent demonstration on an unnamed Motorola tablet (codenamed: Everest). It confirmed some great features that we can expect in our future Google-supported tablets.
Sources inside HTC claim it that it’s 3D plans are advancing quite nicely. Starting with Android smartphones, (presumably for that growing gaming market segment nVIDIA told us about) auto stereoscopic glasses free 3D display technology HTC demonstrated last year at Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress.
The curiously named REGZA T-01C is an exciting waterproof Android device that’s from an unexpected Japanese company that’s just jumped on-board with Google’s OS, Toshiba. It comes packed with a 1GHz Snapdragon chipset, a large 4 inch display, a 12.2-megapixel camera inside of a slim 12.2 mm thin casing.
