Acer has announced that they are going to try their hand at developing a gaming-centric Android tablet which will be to go along their Predator gaming PC brand. This announcement came during the company’s announcement-filled press conference today in New York. Even the design of the tablet will compliment the red and black angular design of Acer’s Predator PCs.

The Wikipad gaming tablet is something we have been keeping our eye on ever since we checked it out at CES 2012. If we were to guess which manufacturer would have the first Kal-El tablet leaked, we would have said Motorola or perhaps Samsung, maybe even LG. What we wouldn’t have said was ZTE but apparently that is the case in what has been leaked out of China.
Gameloft seems to be working on bring more support for their games to more Android devices. Recently they added the Droid X2 to the roster, albeit one game so far, and now it seems as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has gotten support as well. Unlike other Android devices, this didn’t take long at all.
Archos had a decent run with their first few Android tablets that they released but one of the drawbacks to them was the lack of Android Market access. Well that has changed with their new line of tablets heading our way. They also stepped up their game when it comes to hardware too.

With one being dual-core and another sporting a Qualcomm chip coming out in the next month or two.
Today we found news that NEC will be announcing their new dual-screen Android tablet at CES in just one month. That’s right, you read correctly. This will be a dual-screen tablet which could be huge for our gaming itch when it comes to the tablet market. This could get really fun and interesting with gaming!
