Today Google held their media event which it will shown live on YouTube. While we aren’t at the actual event, we watched the live showing of the event where they were showing a preview of Honeycomb. Other announcements were rumored to be coming in the event such as a web-based marketplace.

Not a lot of people have heard of ASRock or Pegatron, unless you are deep into the PC gaming scene, so hearing about two Android tablets coming from a motherboard manufacturer might not just tickle your fancy all that much. However, Pegatron is an OEM division of Asus and ASRock motherboards have been sponsored by Fatal1ty.
So… everyone who has been calling the Honeycomb successor Ice Cream has been wrong… sort of. Actually the official name is going to be Ice Cream Sandwich… no seriously, it will be Ice Cream Sandwich. Quite the mouthful but according to TechCrunch who talked to Andy Rubin, that is what it will be.
A couple of days ago some specs were leaked out about the upcoming Motorola dual-core tablet, dubbed the Everest. Well new information has come to light regarding this great looking tablet along with the confirmation of specs previously leaked out. Also Mr. Blurry Cam decided to release some more photos of the Motorola tablets.
Motorola demonstrated an unnamed (although dubbed the Everest) prototype tablet slated for sometime in 2011 featuring a “dual core 3D processor” by nVIDIA, who preps for that growing Android gaming market with dramatically improved gaming performance, likely Tegra 2 or a later variant. It also comes with Honeycomb, Android’s tablet focused OS.
A working Honeycomb build was shown off to the public in a recent demonstration on an unnamed Motorola tablet (codenamed: Everest). It confirmed some great features that we can expect in our future Google-supported tablets.
