[GDC 2017] Netmarble announces their upcoming mobile MMORPG Lineage 2 Revolution’s global release
Netmarble announced today at GDC 2017 that the company would finally be bringing their mobile MMORPG called Lineage 2 Revolution to everyone. Based off of the PC games, Lineage 2 Revolution has been out in Korea since mid-December 2016 and pulled in 5 million monthly active users.
Released by Swift Apps LTD, The Wolf is an online simulator that’s been released on to Android. In this game, players will assume the eponymous role of a wolf, and work their way through the open world. At the game’s opening, players will be able to both select which subspecies they’d like to appear as, and also customize the stats and skills of said wolf that they plan to use, which includes Health, Defense, Attack, and Speed for its Attributes, and a trio of skill trees that cover the following categories: Basic (pumps to attack, health regen, etc), Aura (boosts to attack and crit, as well as regen after death), and Special (icy spikes, venemous skin, and so on).
King of Fighters is making waves with their announcement of their new mobile title, King of Fighters: World. It will be released by SNK, the same developer who’s handled their other mobile titles and also the popular “Metal Slug” series.
Angeldust is a new quirky MMO out now for Android devices. Looking for a unique crafting MMO? Then Angeldust might be right up your alley. For starters, Angeldust has no quests or story line. It is a fully rendered 3d open world game with a cel shaded look akin to Borderlands. An interesting feature of the game is that it is playable across multiple platforms. Android phones, tablets and PC’s are all connected in this world. You could play on your phone, then log in with your PC and everything would be the same. Or you could be playing on your tablet while your friend was playing on a PC. It all works just fine. Once you create an account, you can go to the Angeldust website and customize your character.
CES 2017 is officially over, and now it appears developers are back to work, in a big way. One of the announcements today comes from CHANGYOU.COM who released into early access their multi-player online fantasy MMO SLG Castle of Legends. Changyou, a company relatively unknown in the west, is one of China’s biggest gaming powerhouses, and aims to storm the overseas market this year with a slew of new and unique titles.
MMORPG Dark & Light will be coming to mobile in 2017. Developed by Snail Games using their proprietary Flexi Engine. Since this game is still in development, there isn’t a huge amount of details available at this time, but we do know what some of the standard features will be.
