Glu Mobile has just released the second Guitar Hero game for Android called Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. The first Guitar Hero game saw some good success on the Android market so this one should be well received. One new feature coming in Warriors of Rock is that all song are full length song and high quality ones at that.
Sky Force by Infinite Dreams was one of the games I had mention to definitely try in our article about the second wave of OpenFeint games heading to the Android market the other day. Well it is now available with OpenFeint integated into it and to celebrate it is now on sale for a short time! This makes Sky Force slightly more awesome then it originally was.
It seems OpenFeint and developers using it are not the only ones who have been busy these days. Polarbit and partner Fabrication Games have been hard at work with one game being released the other week and two more today. 8ball and Zap just landed on the market today with 8ball being a new pool game while Zap is a lot like Bust-A-Move.
We always try to find unique and interesting games to talk about and when it comes to Tower Defense games developers are always trying to come up with new ways to enhance the same enjoyment a large amount of us find in this sort of genre. Meet Zombie Defense by Dromedary LLC which is a neat 3D-ish tower defense game with zombies!
It seems that another push from GetJar in support of Android gaming is under way with the recent announcement that they have teamed up with Glu Mobile to offer some of their best paid games for free. A couple of the titles available are Built-a-lot, which is a Sim City style game and Stranded: Mysteries of Time, which is an action game with Dinosaurs.
Polarbit are known for their great 3D games for Android which including Raging Thunder 1 and 2, Toon Warz, and Fuzzies. Their latest release, with partner Fabrication Games, breaks away from their standard action 3D game mold and brings a puzzle game to Android instead. This is a matching 3 (or more) of the same object puzzle game with a pirate theme.
Camel Games, developers of some of the best physics games available for your Android phone, has released another new game called Super Tumble. This is a great physics game with a slight twist, instead of the usual drawing lines to make objects move or shooting style game like Shoot U!, this game requires you to remove objects to completer your goal.
So here we are on a fine Monday afternoon and it’s time to look back at what happened over this weekend when it comes to games and gaming on the Android platform.
