Gingerbread, Google’s next step towards Android’s mobile dominance (both on smartphones and on tablets) has launched with Samsung’s Nexus S in December. Not only did Samsung bring out great hardware, but Google’s also launched the next version of Android with along with it. We review Android “Gingerbread” on T-Mobile’s extraordinarily flexible HD2.
Well here is an early morning double header for everyone out there in Android land. Google has officially announced that Gingerbread is out, the SDK is now available. On top of that, the Nexus S support page has gone live which shows us all the hardware specs regarding Google’s second phone. Lets dive into the details shall we?
So right now Eric Schmidt is talking at the Web 2.0 Summit and while most of us had dismissed the idea of anything really Android related being mentioned, we all tuned in anyways just in case. Well we were not disappointed at all! Google CEO, Eric Schmidt, announced a little bit of information about Gingerbread while waving around a new phone!
It seems as though the ghostly Nexus S is starting to make public showings… well at least to people in-store. Best Buy first had a bit of a hiccup on their website. It seems as though they got a little excited and accidentally posted an update to the mobile phones section and under T-Mobile there was an area labeled Nexus S and now photos are out!
