Usually Nvidia takes CES each year to announce their next products in the mobile gaming space, whether that be a new iteration of a current product, or a whole new device. Right now Nvidia is in the perfect spot in their Shield product timeline to be introducing something new at CES 2017. According to an anonymous source, this is exactly what will be happening regarding the Nvidia Shield Android TV.
Google has begun knuckling down and getting touch on the standards revolving around fast charging Android devices. Right now manufacturers are trying to come up with ways to make their devices charge faster than any other devices. This is obviously a great feature for Android gamers as it means much more gaming time for us. However, fast charging done wrong can have some bad side-effects. So Google has begun getting tough on what it takes to have good fast charging.
You may remember the other week when Nintendo announced its newest gaming ‘console’ which is called the Nintendo Switch. AirJamz Music by Zivix LLC isn’t necessarily a game, but it isn’t just an application either, but a bit of both depending on how you look at it. What this neat little application does is allow for users to make music using the app and any physical movements you happen to do while it is running. This is, of course, assuming you have the official AirJamz toy that goes along with this application.
[Update: Now available] The Pokemon GO Plus accessory is confirmed for its September release still
While Apple held its event for the company’s new iOS products, Niantic Labs was a part of the entire event showing off a new Pokemon GO app for the Apple Watch called Pokemon GO Plus, named after the accessory the developers are still planning to release. Don’t get too sad we don’t have this app yet, because while it does do some nice things like notify you of nearby Pokemon, and what those Pokemon are, and more, you still need to pull out your phone to capture them.

Nvidia has submitted designs for a pair of new wireless peripherals to the FCC. To wit, they are a TV remote (similar to the one used with Nvidia’s Android TV model), and a game controller. Starting with the latter, it’s obvious that it’s a redesign for a few reasons. First, the shape of the controller is a bit on the leaner side, thinning out at the lower portion (think PlayStation’s Sixaxis controller, but not quite as drastic).
There’s a lot of people Pokemon GO right now, and this probably won’t change anytime soon either. Unfortunately, in order to play this game you need to have it running, along with your Location/GPS going, and of course, you yourself need to be keeping an eye on everything going on in the game. This may not seem like a lot, but when you’re running around hunting Pokemon while doing other activities, you tend to miss capturing some of them.
