Well this sequel has been in the works for some time now, with a closed beta and a very limited soft launch having taken place. Now fans will be able to get the sequel soon as the global launch for this game will be arriving very soon.

Pixowl’s The Sandbox game has done exceedingly well for itself since its initial release. We’ve talked about that game a few times on here, either about the original launch or regarding some of the updates that have greatly expanded the game from what it once was. Needless to say, when we got an offer to check out the sequel at GDC 2016, we were pretty interested in seeing what was new.
Previously released on Android and iOS, The Sandbox is making its way to the Android micro-console Ouya. Developed by Pixowl, Inc., The Sandbox gives players the ability to create their own 2D world using various resources.
The only difference between the iOS version of The Sandbox and the Android version for the most part has been that the Android version has not had humans available in-game. Well that has all changed with the new update that has arrived today, bringing humans to the game in a variety of ways.
For those of you out there in Android gaming land who play Pixowl’s The Sandbox game, you’ll be happy to know that Pixowl has begun hosting a sale to celebrate their game turning one year old. The sale has begun today and a lot of the IAPs in-game have been discounted.
Yesterday we reported on the rather in-depth sandbox game appropriately named The Sandbox from Pixowl had finally arrived onto Google Play. While some people stated that the in-game purchases were different than that of the iOS version, Pixowl did get in touch with us to let us know that they are actually the same. However, that is not why we are writing about The Sandbox today.

Fans of pixel art are going to find their own personal little heaven with this game as players will be able to create worlds that will be completely in pixel art. You will also be able to destroy worlds in a blaze of pixel art chaotic glory as well.
